Camden Catalyst Partner: FEAST With Us
FEAST With Us charity aims to improve the nutrition, well-being and health of people at risk of food insecurity. FEAST brings together nutrition and cooking expertise, VCS partners, volunteers and surplus food to provide community-based nutritious meals and healthy eating on a budget education programmes across Camden and surrounding boroughs. Our VCS partners include Fitzrovia Community Centre, Mind in Camden, Queens Crescent Community Association, Conway House Hostel and Single Homeless Project. From 2022 to 2025 FEAST worked in partnership with Camden Council to coordinate and develop the Camden Food Partnership. Today, FEAST is a member of the CFP Steering Group and a Camden Food Mission Catalyst Partner, where we bring our expertise and capacity to drive wider impact and local food system change in health and nutrition.

Our initial focus as a Camden Catalyst Partner is the development and rollout of training, toolkits and mentoring to community organisations and local residents to empower them to co-design and deliver community-led healthy food programmes, including nutritious community meals, healthy eating on a budget support, and nutrition and cookery skills. We worked with staff and service users from Conway House Hostel and Fitzrovia Community Centre to develop and pilot healthy eating on a budget mentor training and resources to enable them to deliver their own healthy food programmes. We also worked with The Winch’s Shared Plate project to further develop cooking and kitchen management skills to support their ongoing delivery of community cooking programmes.
What is your role as a catalyst in Camden's food system?
Our role is to use our knowledge, expertise, networks and collaborative approach to be an agent for change in Camden's food system, improve access to nutritious food, nutritional knowledge and cooking skills for all residents and build long-term food resilience. This community-led approach aims to contribute to a more equitable, sustainable and resilient food system.
