Useful Resources

There are many resources that the partnership can take advantage of, this section will be updated as and when new information is available.

Shared Learning Agenda

In 2024, the CFP, in partnership with FEAST With Us, produced a short video that highlights the amazing services and initiatives within the network. This video project aims to encourage collaboration between CFP organisations and facilitate knowledge-sharing of best practices and overcoming challenges. Our focus was on the provision of nutritious food offers, though we touched on a variety of themes, including volunteers, operations and logistics, and sustainability.

The video captures the highlights of this project, though we also produced a written report to coincide with this and summarise broader discussions that couldn't be featured in the short video.

You can watch the video below and read the report HERE. We would love to here your thoughts, so feel free to share any feedback you have or whether you would like to be involved in a similar project in the future. Feedback can be shared with Naomi at naomi@feastwithus.org.uk.

A huge thank you to Calthorpe Community Garden, Refugee Community Kitchen, Cooperation Town and Foodscape for providing such valuable insights and for welcoming us into your spaces. Another thank you goes to the fantastic volunteers who helped us produce the video: Frank Lopez (videographer & editor), Ana-Maria Udriste (editor), William Potts (editor).

Thenga Cafe - San used to work for YMCA and Camden Council as a health and fitness instructor many years ago. This experience led to them creating Thenga Cafe with the aim to:

  1. Create a healthier community (offering a vegan menu)

  2. Be sustainable (less impact on the environment and less waste - vegan)

  3. Be affordable (this is a bit tricky for us, we try and keep the pricing as reasonable as possible. We would like everyone to afford our lunches)

  4. Encourage community collaborations - we currently partner with Calthorpe Community Gardens and Holburn Community Assoc. Our main charity is ForRefugees.

We also open up our space for all charity / community organisations to use for free for awareness and fundraising, and support advertising charity / community services.

Our food is of Indian origin a mix of south and east Indian with our twist. If you ask any of our guests, they will say it's like home cooked food. All of our dishes are vegan except our samosas (this is vegetarian, the pastry has milk). Our lead times are 1 week in advance, but we can turnaround in 1 day if it’s urgent.
